Title: Target enrichment system for Next Generation Sequencing

Abstract: The enormous scope of next-generation sequencing brings with it a variety of new challenges. In response, Agilent has developed a robust portfolio of products, each designed to improve the efficiency of your work and to optimize your next-generation sequencing. Massively parallel sequencing of targeted regions, exomes, and complete genomes has begun to dramatically increase the pace of discovery of genes responsible for human disorders. We’d like to introduce Agilent target enrichment system; SureSelect and Haloplex. The insights extend from Mendelian genetic disorders explained by mutations found through exome sequencing to the characterization of nucleotide and structural variation in complex genetic disorders such as cancer and familial disease. SureSelect also provides the application of custom designed SureSelect bait libraries that target for enrichment of genes implicated in disease or a subset of molecular functions, for instance, the Kinome.
